A new addition to our family

A few months ago we bought Guitar Hero - Oooh, I know... I am SO Behind the times... BUT, it was finally on sale. I knew that the kids had played this game so many times at their dad's house, so I figured "why not?". I bought it, and it sat in the box downstairs.

This past weekend we decided that we would open it up, break it out, and let the kids just hand me my hiney at this game... And... They Did.The two of them play better than me on just about every song. On the Easy Level, Kennedy scored perfect on several of the songs that I didn't even pass 80% on. Same with Darrell - he beat Slash...
What could I do? I couldn't let them keep beating me like that - So, I did the only think that I knew to do... I sent them to their dad's house for the rest of the weekend and I practiced. And I practiced... and I practiced... and I practiced some more.
The masses wanted me to play on... so I did!
The game even recognized my ability to be AWESOME!
And in the end, there will be only one! BWAHAHAHAAA! Actually, it's going to take me a long time to beat Kennedy... she is REALLY good at this game. Sure she's been playing longer, but she is really good at it. I barely passed the Easy level - that's right... I beat Satan! (Sold my soul to do so). But Kennedy plays easily on the Hard levels... so, I guess we will see...

PRAISE our new addition... Guitar Hero. :)

Cruise Glorious Cruise!

That's right! You are looking at the Carnival Elation from the coast of Avalon, Catalina CA. My sisters and I got to go on a cruise! (Can you see how much I am complaining!?!) I love cruising. I am not quite the fanatic that the older A is, but I do love it. I wish I had the money to do it more than once in a while. But, what can you do... So, Though I won't go into the kind of detail that Ozzie went into on her blog, I will touch a little bit on the cruise that I went on.Now, back in 2004 my sisters got to go on the Carnival Elation. this was our first cruise, and I believe that we were all hooked after that. On this one, we really missed having our Jessica there, but we understand that this one was very short notice - so, we will just have to get her to be one one of the cruises that Aislinn is planning for next year. (Oh, you know she's always got a cruise up her sleeve!)
SEE! I did too think about all of you other people out there that did not get to go with me! I said Hello! What more do you want!?! Anyway - It was lots of fun... a smooth drive down and a smooth drive back. It was the easiest trip as far as getting on and off of the cruise ship. And, it was fairly relaxing most of the time. I did get a little bit sun burnt on one of our sea days (I'm still itchy from that) but otherwise, it was a pretty decent, short getaway.I will admit that I stole this picture idea from another girl and either her friend or her sister that were doing something very similar. But, I am certain that my shots turned out better... after all... look at my HOT model! She was incredibly easy to work with... could not ASK for a better model than that one there. Besides, she took me to a quaint little restaurant on the island for Fajitas afterward - and that was all the payment I needed!By the way, the Pacific water is FREEZING that early in the morning. I would have been happy to put the series of pictures up here as I ventured across the sandy beach and into the water, however, you would probably wet your pants looking at them. This was the final shot, and if you can tell, my butt cheeks were still puckered up Due to the cold water. All in all I would have to say that it was a wonderful trip. Besides, they had chocolate melting cake every night - what more can you ask for?

~*~*Send Me Your Money*~*~

I am so happy that today is FRIDAY...

I mean... seriously -
You work all week long and you then feel DOG TIRED at the end... you revel in the few days of "Nothing to do" that you are blessed with and then you get your butt back to the grindstone...

WHAT A WEEK

It's been long, and busy, and frustrating... At the same time, it has been rewarding, and full of adventure, surprises from my family, and lots of singing ... (Yes, I sing at work - if I didn't then it would be a LOT less interesting). There are things that have happened that I will not write here - for reasons known to all of you readers and lurkers. Just things that I don't need to post.

I look forward to this weekend. It's Mother's Day this weekend and I got the loveliest card from the eldest sister. (Thank you first A). Totally made my whole ThUrSdAy happy. It really made my weekend too. This weekend I also have the kids with me - Jeremy will be gone getting his new BMW from California. But, it's always nice to have extra time with the kids - and it seems like I only have that extra time on weekends these days. We have a few soccer games on Saturday, and Church on Sunday... So many things to do. There is something else going on this weekend but I can't remember what it was... Guess it will come to me last minute as always.

Maybe we will go on a Hike....

~ Soccer Season ~

That's Right - Taken with the new camera - Darrell scored again at his game yesterday. Took him a bit - there were other players that scored before he did - but, he finally got one in and he assisted in one. This is the second to last game of the season. He's done so well - I couldn't believe it when one of the players came up and kicked him right in the shin, and he didn't even blink twice about it.The magnificent green dragons, in all of their splendor, at the tail end of a very long season. It was long mostly due to dealing with the Utah Rush Soccer People - otherwise, it wouldn't have been NEAR as stressful. But, the kids had fun, and that's what matters the most. Good job Little Man! One day you will be better than "Beaterman" - One Day...

I LoVe My LiFe!

I used to do the "counting my blessings" thing - and it has been a while since I have put up here the reasons that I love my life. I was thinking heavily on this just tonight - about how blessed I am to have the best companion for me. He's fantastic. He loves me, he provides for me, he's intelligent and he has a wonderful spirit. We have been thoroughly tested throughout our marriage, and we have come out the better each time. Tonight, as I was thinking on this, I realized that I hadn't posted in a very long time about how much I care for this guy and everything he does for me. Oooh, sure, I must gloat a little when I say that I did get the very best of him. And I will continue to get the very best of him for Eternity, and that is really awesome. But, there are others that make my life wonderful - my sisters - and my sister in Law. (who should just be a sister anyway). Each of these ladies has been there for me in the most trying of times - with advice, love, hugs, and sometimes a molten lava cake (or a cruise) which always brightens up my spirit... Can I be any more blessed? Oh yes.... I can... there is my VERY best friend - who (Despite living in ALASKA) has an uncanny connection to my heart and soul. She knows me so perfectly well. There can be months when we are not able to coordinate our contact, and somehow, we can always talk as if no time has passed between us at all. What a support system... what phenominal ladies I have in my life. I can't even say how much gratitude I have for them. When I have felt down - when things have been really tough, they have all been there for me.Though I don't have any fantastic pictures of my parents- they all belong here. My father, my mother, my step parents that are JUST LIKE real parents. I love them all - and they have cared for me and my family in ways that are unnumbered. My mother just brought me her old table when mine broke. My father sent me his camera for temporary use, knowing how much I take pictures and love to scrapbook. They care for my children, all four of them, and love them as though they were born of me. What a fantastic family I have!

There is my Brother - who doesn't keep in touch much, but if I ever need anything, he would do whatever he could to get it for me. Advice about old, broken down cars, and how to ride the waverunner in a way to make the VERY BEST Waves. He helped Kennedy to learn to fish, and he has Always found a way to make me feel welcome and loved when I am in his home. His teasing is welcome and wonderful - no matter how Old I get. Then there is Jeremy - the ex husband. We have had our ups and downs, between being married and divorced and then working out our Joint Legal/Physical custody. But, more often than not, Jeremy has been there for me as a wife and mother. Heck - he bought my new camera for me when my other one broke. Tell me - are there any other Ex Husbands out there, that you know (not the mythical ones) that would do such a thing for their ex wives? Or Vice Versa? So many times he has helped me. So many times he has been there. Oh sure - there are times when he hasn't been, and there are times when I have wanted to beat him down - (that's why we aren't married anymore) but all together, he is a decent man and a wonderful father to our kids. He tries hard in the best way that he knows how - it's not my way, but it's better than no way at all.I have 4 of the most wonderful, ecclectic children... versitile and full of talents and knowledge! There is Circe - she is my Oldest. She is PHENOMINAL and so gifted (she gets that from her dad)There is Darrell and Kennedy - two of the most loving children. Oh sure - they have their ups and downs - but they take good care of each other and they take good care of me too (sometimes, I really need that). And there is Aspen - just like her dad in so many ways ... (so is Circe). Aspen is so smart and talented and I am so blessed to know her.I do love my life. I am so grateful to have so many wonderful blessings and I wouldn't let ANY PERSON on this earth try to rob me of it. There are so many people that complain about what they have, or what they don't have - or they try to take it from someone else because they are miserable themselves... But I don't think that there is one thing on this planet that could take away the people that show me what truly matters in this life. It's not the money - it's not the material stuff - it's not the cruises (though - Ais would tell you different) - it's the people that make a difference. I love them all!

And now that I have had my time to let it all out - I am going to bed... with my eternal companion (wink Wink). ((KISSes To All!))

So... I tried out some new things...

Posted by Picasa

And - this is what I came up with... I took these on Saturday at the Bountiful Temple. Actually, I took about 50 shots of different things, but these were some of my favorites... So - what do you think?

Making Brownies

Twas' the scene last night... apparently it is a lot more fun to lick the gooey batter bowl than wait for the finished product. :D ENJOY!
