This is my Friend - Ben.

Ben passed away in January.

Ben took his own life.

I was not as close to Ben as I would have liked to be.

Every time I saw him though, it was as if time had not passed.

Ben was warm, and welcoming, and a good person.

Ben introduced me to several online games (Which I promptly got addicted to).

Ben had a beautiful son with my sister.

Ben made my late work nights at Famous Dave's endurable and fun.

I am so sad that he is gone.

Even though we did not talk much, I am sad that he found himself in a place where he felt that he had to take his own life.

We will miss you terribly, Ben. Until we meet again.

Most don't know this about me - but I LOVE Celebrity Jeopardy.  Loved it then, love it now - and I was so glad that they did one for the anniversary of SNL. :)  So, to share this awesomeness I am attaching the link for all.  Enjoy!

Why I haven't updated my pictures - WHY?!?

OK - Ok.  For all of you whiners out there ( YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE ;) and so do i)  Just a quick note as to why I have not updated my pictures on the blob.  The reason is actually really simple and kind of silly . I have a lovely Kadoodle.  Miss Kadoodle has braces on her teeth right now, and she made me promise that I would not update our family pictures until the braces came off of her faces. (LOL - see what I did just there?).

Now, I am a lady of my word - I say no family pictures until she gets those things out of her mouth and she is feeling confident about her smile once again.  I will probably have to do this again when D-Man gets his braces, but I don't really think so.  I don't think that boys are nearly as vain as girls are.  Anyway, true to form, we have not had any family pictures taken since she got her braces on.

No kidding!  Seriously, my sister is a photographer and every time she comes over to my house she tells me that I need to update my family photographs.  Um. No.  I made a promise and I refuse to update anything until the young lady doesn't have metal mouth anymore.  :)

But guess what - we have taken selfies! BWAHAHAH! :)

See!  Now that is a lovely girl right thar' - with her long har'!  And even though she has braces and she is OK with taking regular pictures, she is still not quite OK with family photos.  So, there you all have it - don't you worry - as soon as it happens I am scheduling an appointment and getting the portraits updated and the blob updated and everything - because the other kids have grown... and grown and grown and grown... so it would really be a great thing to get more recent pictures of everyone, right?  HERE'S TO STRAIGHT TEETH!

So, UM (Embarrassed)  I really thought that it was not going to be big enough.  Well, not until we got it out of the box and put it up on the stand - oh - it's big enough.  And though the Misses keeps wanting to know if I want to take it back for the 70" Vizio, I don't think that I do.  I don't think that the 5 inches will really matter in the long run considering the picture on this toy is AH-MAZING!

So, we welcome to our home our new TV.  What happened to the Old TV?  Well, the story of this is that it became a computer monitor for the Misses new computer that he got (Finally, after much begging and tears and a little bit of gnashing of teeth).  What happened to his old Samsung monitor that he HAD to have a few years back?  Well, it became mine.  SO, now I can see what I type when I am blobbing!  (not that it will really help, but there have to be perks somewhere, right?)

Biggest complaint about this whole process - actually, I have two.  I didn't really want the TV.  Actually, I didn't really want any of it - I prefer to be debt free... and buying these things means that I have another payment that I would prefer not to have.  But I am weak when it comes to the misses and his pleading puppy dog eyes when it comes to newer gadgets and toys.  SO, the domino effect took hold and we now have new stuff.  Second biggest complaint is that nothing installs with ease the way that they make it sound like it should. Nothing.  It's never just an "Out of the box quick setup".  No, instead it's throwing tape measure's on the ground when things don't go your way and complaining about all of the extra work that you now have to do because of the way that components fit and what not.  It's aggravating (To say the least)!  It totally is not necessary to have an attitude about things when they don't go JUST your way the first time around.  I know that when it is all said and done it will be fine, but it is OK to relax and take one step at a time instead of throwing a fit when things come off without a hitch the first time around.

With the two primary complaints I wonder to myself, "Is this all worth it?"  I think that in the end it is, but definitely during the process of setup, I would have to humbly disagree.  Vehemently.    It will look amazing when it is done - it will work well - but at least try to have a good attitude about the process too.  People are watching you, ya know.

Also, on a side note - I did update the blubber blob again.  Things are going really well with the Medifast diet.  I am quite pleased to say the least. :)  So, for all of my friends that have been considering this - I really recommend that you give it a try.  For those that have started it because they were inspired by my successes - Isn't this great?  I mean, we are doing so well ! :) 

Anyway, that is all for now - I will take pictures once the setup is complete, because really - my Family Room is AMAZING! 

I Approve of You!

HAHAHA!  No, really.  Tonight is "Approve Pending Transactions" for my company - it's just part of the job that I have to do.  I wait to make sure that the work got done, and I basically approve the work so that the person who did the job can get paid.  I always think that this part is so funny because it's like I'm saying "I approve of you".    It's really not that at all - it's that I have made sure that the contractor completed the job that they committed to for our client.  These nights are fabulous because I get to stay up and find ways to pass the time.  I get to look around and figure out what I would do instead of sleeping... all the way until Midnight.   So, thank goodness for Blobs, Facebook, and plenty of YouTube videos about how to say the Spanish Alphabet!

Just as a thought though, I often find myself wondering why is it that we care so much about what others think.  Especially when we are online expressing ourselves?  Half the time I do not know who is responding.  I don't know what that person is doing in their daily life of the background that they come from.  However, it seems so important that I reach them - or that we connect in some way.  Now, this particular entry was meant to be short and sweet.  I did not necessarily want to get into all of the ho-hum psychological semantics about human behaviors on this night.  But, I hope that all of my readers know that regardless, I approve of you. :)

2015 - Ahhh, blobbing at its best

So many things have happened since the announcement of the misses - for example - almost 5 months past.  Can you even believe it?  I know that I can't.  We were so darn busy around here that I just put the blob down and didn't even think twice about picking it back up again.  Quite frankly, it might happen again this semester too!  Who really knows what the future will hold?  Well, I don't - but I can always speculate.  So, here a a few updates for those of you that care to take a peek.

1)  It is with great pleasure that I announce that I have applied and I was accepted to finally graduate from SLCC this spring.

Ahh, what does it mean!?!?  Well, it definitely means that If I take another 7 year break due to my job, I won't have to take the math placement exam again (And pay for it - AGAIN).  This semester I am taking statistics and Spanish - and don't be surprised if I start posting in Spanish too. (Just kidding).  So long as these classes go well, which I am confident that they will, then I will be in the clear to graduate and I will transfer back up to the University of Utah where I will finish the remainder of those courses and finally be done!  As of right now, everything is going according to plan. (Mwahahahahaaa!)

2) I reactivated the Blubber Blob and started a new diet journey with Take Shape for Life / Medifast / and Lori (You can click on her name to go to her website - she is only the BEST COACH and BEST FRIEND EVER!)  The link to the Blubber Blob is at the top of this site here.  Anyway,  I lost 10 pounds the first week alone.  I am on week 3, but my goal is to find my jawline again.  (Man, I seriously hate having a double chin...).

Anyway - the TSFL Medifast plan has been working very well for me - and if you are one of my awesome readers and have been struggling looking for something that will work and you don't have to plan out, this is seriously the plan for you.  Give it a try - really - go to the site, and give it a try.  GO.  Go now!

3) D-Man is now in the. (Wipes the tiny tear from eye) Oh, they just grow up so darn fast.  At this rate he will either be graduating from High School with Kadoodle or College before me!  WTG D-man!  WTG!

Isn't she pretty?  We are still getting used to her, and she to us, but after three weeks around the house she is starting to take over.  (Just as we suspected.... right?)

Those really were the most major things that happened over the last 5 months.  Oh sure, there was lost of other stuff that happened too - but I figure that I would stick with the most major of the stuff for now.  I hope that everyone had a safe and happy new year and that you all check out my Medifast Journey on the blubber blob - because so far, it truly has been fabulous.  Until next time!
